250 artists will be featured in the 22nd Annual Art Attack event. Explore all four floors of the Northrup King Building, packed with artists, singer/songwriters and composers. Theaster Gates at the Walker Art Center

Artist Theaster Gates is taking over the Walker’s galleries for an immersive artistic experience. Originally trained in ceramics, Gates has expanded his practice to include performance, installation and archival conservation. He is best known for his 2009 project Dorchester Project in Chicago, which recycled a two-story property on the South Side, turning it into a performance space, library and archive. All ages. Come and join me in this wonderful step-by-step instructional class where I will teach you about alcohol inks, how to use them and we will also finish a 12 x 12“ substrate to make an original painting. We will paint with air- right! No brushes needed
