Clarence is my 4-year-old, all black cat with one white armpit. He has a penchant for windowsills when his favorite perch, a supine human chest, isn’t available. For attention, Clarence stretches onto his hind legs and raises a lone operatic paw toward the ceiling. In his spare time, he serenades unoccupied rooms with his chirps and meows. After two years of writing for this magazine, I’m excited to introduce myself as the new editor of Plymouth Magazine. My story with Tiger Oak Media began in 2019 as an editorial intern for our sister titles, Lake Minnetonka Magazine and Woodbury Magazine. Each year, we ask area high schools to nominate incoming seniors, who exemplify the schools’ standards of excellence in a multitude of areas. It appears we find ourselves in a peculiar time of year. Though its bluster is waning, February remains committed to holding onto its wintery relationship. While March stands conflicted—“Our life is March weather, savage and serene in one hour,” writes Ralph Waldo Emerson.
