Egg rolls might not be quintessential football fare, but then again, Grizzly’s Wood-fired Grill doesn’t serve just your average egg rolls. “These are unique because they feature our rotisserie smoked pulled pork and our homemade barbecue sauce,” general manager Garrick Fults says. You can catch all the game-day action at Old Chicago. In fact, the popular Plymouth sports bar subscribes to a DirecTV package, so you won’t miss a play-off match-up, but while you’re exuding all of your energy cheering on your team, you’ll need sustenance. We love the Sicilian pepperoni rolls ($8.50) for something a little different than your average pizza. These nuggets of goodness begin with Old Chicago’s fresh-made dough rolled around pepperoni, green onions and cheese, then baked to golden brown and served with homemade marinara. They’re also available as part of the Chi-Town trio, which boasts three Old Chicago favorites—Italian nachos, melted mozzarella bruschetta and the deliciously gooey pepperoni rolls ($11.95). QUESADILLAS
The lounge at Jake’s City Grille is the perfect place to watch the game, outfitted with TV screens, bar seating and comfy booths. For snack time, we love the spicy chicken or barbecue pulled pork quesadillas ($10.95). TOWERING ONION RINGS
Red Robin might be known for its big juicy burgers, but if you’re looking for some game-day nosh to share with your fellow fans, we recommend the towering onion rings ($9). What Red Robin calls a “golden monument,” this tower of crispy onions is piled high, and served with the restaurant’s own campfire sauce and ranch dressing. KOREAN BEEF TACOS
With televisions at every angle, you won’t miss a single play while watching the game at Lucky’s 13 Pub. Along with the usual game-day grub, Lucky’s boasts a mouth-watering plate of Korean beef tacos ($9.49). The thinly sliced beef is marinated, then carefully seared on the griddle before being stuffed into three fire-grilled flour tortillas and topped with spicy slaw and tortilla strips. The folks at Cowboy Jack’s Saloon take their football games very seriously. So seriously, in fact, the popular Plymouth eatery offers 2 lbs. of its infamous wings for just $5. (We’re not kidding, but during Vikings games only.) “Our wing specials are incredibly popular during football season,” marketing director Jesi Konen says. This bucket of crispy wings is served with your choice of sauce—hot, mild, barbecue, teriyaki, Slim’s dry rub or chili garlic sauce. But since the Vikings didn’t make the post-season this year, Cowboy Jack’s also features Super Bowl specials one hour before the game until one hour post-game February 2. If you decide to root on your favorite players at Cooper Pub’s bar, be sure you order a plate of Reuben rolls.
