Mayor Kelli Slavik Skates and Speaks with Plymouth Residents

Join the mayor and your neighbors for a night of free skating at Parkers Lake.

Do you like ice skating and chatting with neighbors? What about with the mayor of Plymouth?

“Skate with the Mayor,” an annual free event, invites Plymouth residents to chat and, of course, ice skate with Mayor Kelli Slavik. The event takes place from 5 to 8 p.m. February 7 at the Parkers Lake warming house, located on County Road 6 and Niagara Lane.

Mayor Slavik says she has been ice skating since she was about four or five years old. She says that this event is a great way to “get outside in the winter and to enjoy the community”.  She also looks forward to this event as it is an “opportunity to met residents and get feedback on how things are going in the city.”

Don’t worry about the cold, either: There will be treats and a bonfire at the event to boot.
