For the 21st year, members of the community can join Interfaith Outreach in the annual Sleep Out to raise money for struggling families. From November 12 to December 31, the organization hopes to raise a total of $2,184,000. That’s $1,000 for each family they serve and it will fund 40 percent of Interfaith Outreach’s yearly budget. “It will be used to address the needs of local families through emergency services, employment and education,” says communication specialist Mary Kuhn.
The nonprofit plans to reveal its fresh, rebranded look and messaging on November 12 at the Ignite the Night celebration, starting at 7 p.m., Kuhn says. There will also be a Sleep Out Week of Giving from November 12 to 19. Finally, the Giving Day on the Bay is November 17 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Learn more.
