Kayak at French Regional Park

Three Rivers Park District hosts beginner’s kayaking lessons.

With warmer temperatures upon us, it’s time to start thinking about all of the opportunities to enjoy nature; this summer trade in the canoe or paddle boat for some adventures via kayak.   Three Rivers Park District hosts two beginning-level kayaking classes at French Regional Park. Flatwater kayaking essentials guides participants through proper paddling form, strokes and safety. Looking for some girl time? Learn all of the same, and bond with other women, in flatwater kayaking essentials for women—perhaps kayaking will replace your book club this summer. —Molly Larsen
