The 33rd TwinWest Gala will be held on April 20 at Mystic Lake Center, the newest event and convention center in the Twin Cities metro area.
“This will be a premier event for the TwinWest community, from the venue to the food to the glitz and glamour. It’s a great opportunity for the surrounding business community to come together to celebrate the good work they are all doing,” says Michelle Harris, senior event manager at Do Good Events and a planner for the gala.
Food offerings will come from Mystic Lake as well as the TwinWest community, including Nothing Bundt Cakes, Jake’s City Grille, Kip’s Irish Pub, Popped Corn, The Honey Baked Ham and Rock Elm Tavern, Harris says.
Attendees will be able to dance to live music from The R Factor and check out silent and live auctions, which will offer a wide range of goods. For a diamond raffle sponsored by Continental Diamond, called Glitz in Glass, champagne glasses with “diamonds” in them will be available for purchase. Once all the champagne glasses are sold, it will be revealed who has the real diamond and the prize is a necklace.
A portion of the proceeds will go toward the TwinWest Scholarship fund. Over the years, the success of the gala has helped award more than $1 million in grants and scholarships to area students, says Catherine Reller, vice president of investor relations for the TwinWest Chamber of Commerce.
