Fiscally Sustainable Living

In today’s economic conditions, Plymouth resident Robert Wachholz, president and owner of True Gravity Ventures, is working on an innovative design in Brooklyn Park that would promote “fiscal sustainability” for future homeowners. The project is called Wickford Village and consists of the construction of 17 single-family homes (with the capacity for 42 more)—the innovative feature being an additional lower-level unit that can be rented out by the owner- occupant to defray mortgage or other costs. This space can also be flexible to meet the owner’s needs, be it expanded household living space, home business space or living space for additional family members. “I believe it will help a wide spectrum of buyers, from young families to active empty nesters, see the potential for longer-lasting home purchase decisions,” Wachholz says. The current phase of the project should be complete in time for this fall’s Parade of Homes.
