EURYDICE by Sarah Ruhl
Pulitzer Prize-finalist and renowned playwright Sarah Ruhl reimagines one of the oldest myths in Eurydice, a tale of lost love and irrevocable choices. Turning the Orpheus myth on its head, this new version follows Eurydice on a journey into a Wonderland-esque Underworld, where she comes up against a Greek chorus of talking stones and the Lord of the Underworld himself. When her husband Orpheus comes to rescue her, the two must grapple with a reality neither of them could have ever dreamed of.
Eurydice will be performed at Wayzata High School in Auditorium 2 January 18-19, 2018, at 7pm before heading to MSHSL Section 6AA One Act Competitions.
Theatre goers will also enjoy the always hilarious comedy improv of the student-run troupe, Step Dad Mike, as well as a glimpse of the Theatre's upcoming 9th/10th grade musical, Little Shop of Horrors.
Tickets: $10, general seating availible here.
