Twin
Cities Cabaret Artists Network (TCCAN) presents its 2nd
Annual
Cabaret Fest at Minneapolis’ Bryant-Lake Bowl Theater on September
23 and 24, 2017. TCCAN will host two exciting days of workshops and
evening Cabaret performances to “Enlighten, Entertain, and Engage”
audiences, bringing
awareness to Cabaret in the Twin Cities.
Cabaret
Fest is designed for Cabaret artists, musical theater performers,
vocalists, and storytellers. Educational events on Saturday and
Sunday are open to the public and will focus on exploring the art of
Cabaret.
Led
by TCCAN’s experienced Cabaret Artists, Saturday’s
Workshop offers a variety of
hands-on content for participants of all levels. New-comers
to Cabaret will learn basic elements
and how to craft a Cabaret performance. Active
Cabaret performers and enthusiasts
will explore the in-depth details of song interpretation, text, and
theme.
Sunday’s Master Class
will feature expert Cabaret guest
panelists Ben Krywosz, Gary Briggle, and Jennifer Parker who will
work with TCCAN Cabaret Artists as they sing and interpret
pre-selected Cabaret material.
Each day will
culminate with an evening of performances
by TCCAN’s Cabaret Artists featuring a different cast each night
accompanied by Harrison Wade, one of the Twin Cities’ finest
pianists. Audiences will want to attend both evenings!
