For the past 10 years, Boger Dental has worked closely with a number of nationally and locally based children’s charities to provide free dental care in under-served communities, establish scholarships for at-risk students and perform cleft palate surgeries in communities overseas. In this time, Boger has raised more than $200,000 through the generosity of patients. This year, Boger hopes to set the bar even higher during its annual Smiles for Life Campaign, which starts February 1 and goes through June 30.
Marketing director Kelly Larson thinks that this year will be another one for the books. “Every year is a great response,” she says.
There are a couple of ways to get involved. One that has become increasingly popular is Boger’s take-home whitening trays. The trays are custom made for the patient’s teeth using Opalescence whitening products. This month, the $200 payment (half of the original cost) serves as the donation. Within a week, your custom trays are ready to pick up and use.
“It’s a really cool organization,” Larson says. “The patients are getting a good deal and the money aids nonprofits.”
If you’re considering some whitening or a conventional donation, be sure to spread the word. Referrals are the central way in which the campaign gains momentum.
