On July 22, the Plymouth-based human service nonprofit, Interfaith Outreach, will host their beloved “Girls, Glamour and Giving,” event, but with some virtual twists. At 7 p.m. panel attendees can join to hear stories from clients, case managers and the Interfaith Outreach program director, all held through Zoom.

The virtual get-together will discuss how Interfaith Outreach is helping community members stay connected with resources to better themselves during a time of great difficulty.
According to Corporate Relations and Special Events Manager Laurie Walker, Interfaith Outreach provides emergency services and support to families in need. Families that come to the nonprofit are, in Walker’s words, “families struggling in the gap between wages and the cost of living.” Clients are paired with a case manager who provides not only a listening ear, but also a handful of resources to help the client thrive. The six impact areas provided to clients include a food shelf, family support, education and youth, housing and neighborhoods, transportation and employment.
The virtual event will be a night to unify and appreciate the triumphant stories of women coming together against all odds to make a better world for themselves and their loved ones. And nothing encapsulates that sentiment better than the tagline of the event: ”When women come together, powerful things happen.”
