Greetings, Plymouth!

As editor of Plymouth Magazine for more than three years now, I've had the true pleasure of getting to know many of you, your businesses, favorite playgrounds, delicious food and fine shopping destinations first-hand. And while the headline of this blog post might suggest otherwise, I'm not exactly going anywhere, so I won't have to give up these simple delights anytime soon.

With so many worthy causes in the community, it’s impossible to know (and/or contribute) to all of them. But Plymouth is home to the national foundation of a disease that affects 150,000 people in the United States.

Corn tostadas
Refried beans, warmed
Shredded meat (like beef tinga, pork or chicken in poblano sauce, or rotisserie chicken), warmed
Sliced avocado
Crumbled queso fresco or queso cotija
Pickled red onion (if desired)

Spread a portion of refried beans on a tostada, top with shredded meat, slices of avocado, pickled onions and crumbled cheese.

Helping Paws has set up more than 150 pairs in its 25-year history.

Terry Savoie admits he “likes to gab,” but when it comes to talking about his new company, Red Rover Pizza, and the wood-fired creations he makes in his traveling oven, listening to him will just make you hungry. He’s got ideas to spare on different ways to top his pizzas (on handmade sauce and dough) and places where he knows he could find plenty of  hungry customers. Savoie’s enthusiasm for his new side business—he also owns a shed-construction company—is contagious.

If given the choice, most pet owners would be happy to spend time with their furry friends 24/7, but sometimes pesky things like work or travel mean that you will have to entrust Fido’s care to someone else. You definitely want to know that he is safe and having fun without you, which is why choosing the right day care/boarding facility is an important decision.
