Safety comes first at the Plymouth Fire Department, but the crews there always make room for a little bit of fun, too. Discover what a day on the job looks like for firefighters, police officers and paramedics at Plymouth’s annual October Fire Department Open House, slated this year for noon to 3 p.m. on October 12.The pros will host a kitchen fire demonstration. Free pumpkins are available, harvest permitting, for kids who bring in a drawing of a home fire escape plan, a homemade fire safety poster or a non-perishable food item.
