Picture Plymouth: Undying Gratitude

Rachel Hall captures a moving image of Veterans Memorial.
First Place Landmarks 2016 Picture Plymouth Photo Contest

While Plymouth resident Rachel Hall does not claim to be much of an artist, she says that photography has become her creative outlet. It has even become more of an “addiction” than a hobby over the years, according to Hall. Back when her boys were involved with sports, Hall would bring a camera along to capture some action shots. Now she says she “goes for whatever catches her eye”—usually wildlife and landscapes. And when Hall goes on vacation, she is sure to bring her camera along.

Hall says that her winning image, which she titled “Undying Gratitude,” came from a specific goal to take a photo for the 2016 Picture Plymouth Photo Contest. She had been exploring the area when she discovered the Veterans Memorial, near the Hilde Performance Center.

In addition to this photo being awarded first place in the Landmarks Category, another one of Hall’s photos, “Reflecting Freedom,” won first place in the Activities & Events Category.  Greeting cards that feature Hall’s  photography are available at Infinity Floral in Osseo.
