Picture Plymouth contest winner offers a different perspective on Plymouth.

Matthew Prior’s photo, titled Sunrise, took first place in the city landmarks category of our 2019 Picture Plymouth photo contest.
“This picture was taken in southwest Plymouth from the Luce Line during a misty summer sunrise,” Prior says. “Pictures of Plymouth tend to focus on our lakes and parks. I wanted to show a different side of our community. Plymouth has a thriving commercial sector, which has a beauty of its own. Caught in the early light, the power lines, railroad and bridge draw attention to the distance and what the day may bring.”
