The Plymouth Creek Center will host a free indoor art festival featuring 30 local and regional artists working in a variety of mediums including pottery, watercolor, jewelry, acrylic, glass and more. With the wares of so many artists to browse, there is something for everyone.
“It truly is a great variety of artists coming out all in one spot,” says Plymouth recreation supervisor Alyssa Fram. Fram says the fair is not only an opportunity for community members to see and purchase art, but also a venue for artists to show their work and for Plymouth to support local talent.
Given the large number of summer art fairs throughout the metro area, the Plymouth fair is unique in that it is later in the season. Taking place indoors in November, it provides visitors with a more concentrated experience through live music, crafts and art that is both creatively immersive and intimate—and it perfectly aligns with the holiday season to help with any gift needs.
“It’s a really great environment, and I think that it brings a sense of community,” says Fram.
The event will also inspire young ones to channel their creativity through a free children’s craft activity on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in a separate meeting room in the Plymouth Creek Center.
