Enjoy some healthy summer fun and bring the whole family or come individually to participate in the annual Music in Plymouth 5K. Open to anyone, the 5K is a great opportunity to test your running skills, or to just take a leisurely walk through the city’s parks. The Plymouth Civic League hosts the 5K as a precursor and support to the Civic League’s presentation of Music in Plymouth in July. Celebrating its 22nd year, the 5K is a family-friendly, established event in the heart of the city.
Starting at the Hilde Performance Center, the 5K then loops through the many beautifully maintained trails of Plymouth Creek park. Although families and racers are equally welcome, first place participants can win medals in each gender and age category.
All proceeds from the race go to support the Music in Plymouth event which will be held this year on July 11. This year celebrates the 46th Music in Plymouth event, and the evening includes family-friendly entertainment with performances by many local bands, as well as activities such as face painting, balloon, hairstyle and tattoo artists.
