You’ll find many fall favorites available when you step into a Lunds & Byerlys this time of year, such as pumpkins, apple cider and a variety of festive bakery items for Halloween. If you’re looking for an activity to do with the kids, Denise LeClaire, a foodE expert from the Lunds & Byerlys’ Plymouth location, offers these ideas for making fun and easy treats.
Mini Candy Apple Pops
These are a fun treat for the kids. Using a cookie scoop, teaspoon or melon baller, scoop apples into mini balls and stick on skewers. Some ideas for toppings include caramel with sea salt or mini chocolate chips or melted white chocolate with cinnamon or crushed graham crackers.
Owl Cupcakes
These are not only super cute but also super easy. Stop by the bakery to pick up a package of cupcakes in either chocolate or vanilla. Using Oreo cookies, place two halves on each cupcake (cream side up). Place brown M&Ms or Reese’s Pieces on cookies for the eyes and use an orange or yellow one for the beak.
Apple Nachos
This is a simple treat that the whole family will enjoy. Cut apples into thin slices and drizzle with caramel, chopped peanuts and chocolate chips. Perfect for a quick and delicious snack.
