It was a snowy day last April when Allison Reck and her husband Matt brought home an adorable ball of golden fluff named Nala. At 8 weeks old, she immediately took to her new Plymouth home. Reck says that Nala’s exploration of the backyard included “running around, sniffing everything, and getting stuck while trying to climb over our gutter downspouts.” So many discoveries will tucker out even the hardiest of puppies. When Nala fell asleep in a slipper by the front door, Reck snapped this picture with her iPhone camera.
Now a year old, Nala is much bigger but “still as playful as ever,” Reck says. Nala definitely has a mischievous side, taunting her owners into chasing her around the house. She and her humans enjoy all of the walking and biking trails that Plymouth has to offer. The Recks moved to Plymouth in September 2013. Allison works in the marketing department at G&K Services and Matt works in corporate development for Digital River. They fell in love with the area and all of the fun events that Plymouth has to offer each month. Nala isn’t the only exciting addition to the family; the Recks are expecting their first baby next month.
