A Lifetime of Learning

Plymouth’s IOCP promotes education as the way out of poverty.

For the third year, Interfaith Outreach & Community Partners (IOCP) will host the Learning for a Lifetime campaign celebrating the vast educational opportunities the Plymouth nonprofit offers.

IOCP provides learning opportunities for people of all ages, including the Caring for Kids Initiative, the CONECT (Community Organizations Networking Compassionately Together) program and employment services.

Throughout the month, community members come together to support IOCP’s education programs in a variety of ways. Some individuals, businesses or groups donate funds, and others give their time through volunteer opportunities.

Another way to get involved is to attend the Learning for a Lifetime Dream Walk, an exhibit that runs from noon to 1:30 p.m. August 12 at IOCP. Children, youth and adults served by IOCP express their dreams through different artistic media. The event is open to all, but an RSVP is requested.
