Adult Birthdays at Sky Zone Plymouth

A nostalgic take on your next big bash.

Young adults ready to embark on the institution of marriage have first played trampoline dodge ball.

Bachelor and bachelorette parties are not above renting out the 16,000 square feet of trampolines at Sky Zone in Plymouth. Those in young love and their friends are just one subset of adults frequenting the indoor trampoline park that is usually overrun with kids.

“The basic mission of Sky Zone is to provide the best combination of fun and fitness for all sizes and all ages,” says Miles Marsh, operations director at Sky Zone.

Others partaking in the childish fun are corporate cohorts in their 30s or 40s from Target Corp., who will mix it up as a team in the routine tournaments held at Sky Zone.

The tournaments can get competitive, with a monetary reward on the line, not to mention some T-shirts and free jump passes.

“We do it like a real tournament, with brackets,” Marsh says. “It’s six-on-six, best two-out-of-three, double-elimination dodge ball.”

The winner gets a match-up with the Sky Zone Dream Team, a group of employees forbidden from playing in the tournaments because they are too good. The prize for this is not quite as glamorous, however: “If you beat the dream team,” Marsh says, “you get ultimate bragging rights.” $300-$350/hour. 13310 Industrial Park Blvd; 763.331.3511
