This year’s Music in Plymouth, featuring the Minnesota Orchestra, will take place July 2 at the Hilde Performance Center. Beginning at 5:30 p.m., there will be opening performances by the Southside Aces, who play traditional New Orleans jazz and the Scottie Miller Band, playing a mix of blues, funk and rock. Plymouth communications coordinator Emilie Rieger says, “Music in Plymouth is the city’s largest annual event, co-sponsored by the Plymouth Civic League. The event typically features [in addition to the] musical performances, roving entertainers, food trucks and … a finale of fireworks.”

The Minnesota Orchestra will be conducted by associate conductor Akiko Fujimoto. The event’s theme will be “Summer Serenade,” says Mele Willis of the Plymouth Civic League.
