Two local authors share the inspiration behind recently published books.
Little Girl Gone is a high stakes thriller about a missing girl from an affluent Minnesota neighborhood. Author Gerry Schmidt is from Minnesota, and she says “I wanted to unleash my inner bad girl” and connect with her own emotional core.
Here in the Middle is a collection of stories on the complexity of the middle years, a time when many are caring for two generations at once. Co-editor Julie Jo Severson says the book “gives voice to the experiences of love, loss, and connection along the way that teach us about toughness, perseverance, and loyalty.”
