Sure, those big box retailers and websites like eBay and amazon.com have a place in your life. But when it comes to everyday shopping, there is a renewed focus on local, and keeping your hard-earned, well-spent dollars right in our community.
On Tuesday, March 30, 2010, in a remote area near the market town of Naivasha, Kenya, a group of community leaders, young girls, teachers and locals gathered near a building constructed of bricks and corrugated metal. They sang traditional African songs; they laughed, and they danced.
