When asked about the Looney Lutherans’ latest show, Livin’ La Vida Lutheran, creator, writer and actor Greta Grosch responds that in a sense, this show has taken 11 years to write. The Looney Lutherans are constantly evolving and new ideas are always being added. Grosch says that there have been “so many new ideas in the car” as they’ve been touring and brainstorming together.
Grosch has been working professionally in show business for 28 years. She, along with the ladies involved in Church Basement Ladies, came up with the concept for The Looney Lutherans—three quirky women who discuss topics such as homemaking and family. They performed their first show in 2006 and have since gone on to perform in nine states at various venues such as fairs and mother-daughter banquets. This will be their first show performed in a more permanent venue.
“Our show is really audience interactive,” Grosch says. “We have so much fun.” She also says she enjoys greeting audience members afterwards and hearing about their experience.
Through October 21
