Student actors are Spotlight Award winners.
Wayzata High School’s fall 2015 musical, Beauty and the Beast, is being recognized as an outstanding overall performance, among several other awards. Several student actors have also been nominated for their impressive performances in the show.
The Spotlight Awards, sponsored by Hennepin Theatre Trust, recognize student actors and productions each school year.
The winners will be honored in a showcase June 12. Each cast will perform selections from their fall productions at the State Theater.
The Spotlight Program is also accepting tax-deductible donations to help students reach their theater goals. Come out to support local theatre and students.
