It’s just not summer without some time in the outdoors. If you’re looking for outdoor activities for your child with special needs, French Regional Park offers sensory-friendly Sundays. Kids can explore the building, play area and the trails when the park is calmer. The park provides noise cancelling headphones, social narratives [descriptions of social situations for participants that provide cues, explain possible feelings and thoughts of others, and describe appropriate behavior expectations] and sensory objects.
Children 17 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
