Baby, It's Cold Outside

Well, not really, but Plymouth's Primavera offers an incredibly colorful and spring-like diversion, just the same.

Tonight is opening night for the 15th annual installment of one of Plymouth's premier springtime events, Primavera, celebrating the arts from vocal to visual and beyond.

If you can't make this evening's festivities (5 to 9 p.m. at Plymouth Creek Center, 14800 34th Ave. N.), never fear! There are four more days filled with oil, watercolor and acrylic paintings, graphite drawings, metal sculpture, pottery, photography, fiber art, and mixed media.

So sure, the wind might be whistling out there, and we may have only reached a balmy 45 degrees today, but a celebration of our community's arts are sure to bring a sunny smile to your face.

Hours: 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Saturday,1–4 p.m. Sunday, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. and 7–9 p.m. Monday, and 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Tuesday. Free. plymouthmn.org; plymouthartscouncil.org
