Music in Plymouth’s Pre-Party

The annual summer carnival helps celebrate 40 years of Music in Plymouth.
After the sun sets on the annual festival's activities, sit back and relax to the 40th performance by the Minnesota Orchestra.

Before you spend the night sitting under the stars, serenaded by the Minnesota Orchestra at the 40th annual Music in Plymouth, celebrate our fabulous city at the annual Summer Carnival. There will be a whole slew of events sure to appeal to the whole family, beginning with the prelude event from 2 to 5 p.m. July 3, at Plymouth Creek park.

Younger children will enjoy bouncing around on inflatables, having their faces painted, and playing carnival games from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Older kids and daredevils will be entranced by the 3rd Lair skateboard demo team performing at Plymouth’s new skate park from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. (Before and after the demo carnival-goers are welcome to try out the skate park.) For you history buffs, take a tour of our fair city on a historical trolley between 2 and 5 p.m. Twin Cities Unicycle Club wraps the event with a 4:15 p.m. performance.

The carnival is free to attend; concessions and game tickets will be on sale. Game tickets are 25 cents each; games require between one and four tickets. Trolley tours are free, but require registration. Call 763.509.5233 to reserve a spot along with your name, the number of people in your party and a contact number.
